The College Scorecard census
Every institution in the College Scorecard: 6,273 across 59 states and territories. Figures on this page are national.
The home page's figures are graded from a 600-institution sample and say so. This page grades every institution the College Scorecard publishes -- the API paged to exhaustion, proven from the walk's own counts rather than assumed from how large the result looks -- and does not replace the sample figures, because the sample is a real, separately-interesting slice and silently swapping one number for another is the failure this project exists to name in other people's data.
In the full census, 4,363 of 6,273, or 69.6%, publish no admission rate at all -- the same question the home page asks of the 600-institution sample, asked here of every institution the Scorecard publishes.
Composition: how skewed was the sample
307 of the sample's 600 institutions (51.2%) are Californian, across 13 states. The census, 6,273 institutions across 59 states, puts California at 10.6%.

A field with no statute behind it is this project's opinion about what a college ought to publish, not a legal requirement; the methodology states the rationale behind every row. Institutions are counted here and not named, the same rule the sample figures on the home page follow.
