Where does the schedule come from?

From the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Fish Planting Schedule, checked once a day. The schedule was last checked 2026-09-18 18:29 UTC. CDFW updates it weekly and lists plants by week, never by day, on purpose. Plants are subject to change, so everything here is scheduled, not confirmed.

Why does this site show more weeks than CDFW's page?

CDFW's page only shows about a year. This site keeps every week it has recorded, so a water's history keeps growing after CDFW's page has moved on.

How do I subscribe to a water's calendar?

Every water page links to a calendar feed (.ics). Copy that link and add it as a subscribed calendar: on iPhone, in the Calendar app's settings under Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar; in Google Calendar, under Other calendars → From URL. Each event spans the whole week CDFW scheduled.

Why didn't the app alert me?

• Alerts are part of the one-time in-app purchase; favouriting and browsing are free.
• Notifications must be allowed for the app (Settings → Notifications).
• The app checks for a new schedule in the background, and iOS decides when that happens. Background App Refresh must be on for the app, Low Power Mode pauses it, and swiping the app away can stop it until you open it again.
• CDFW updates weekly, so an alert arrives within the week a water is added, not the minute it is.

How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?

In the app, open About → Unlock full access → Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with. There is no account with this app to sign in to.

What does the app know about me?

Nothing leaves your phone. See the privacy policy.

The website is different: it uses Google Analytics to count visits, unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, or you press “Opt out of analytics” at the bottom of any page. The app has no analytics.
